This 1988 Ford Sierra RS500 Group A was built by Graham Goode chassis tag GG R88 001. It is the first of five Sierras built and raced by Graham Goode for the BTCC. It also ran in the 1989 BTCC in FAI colours and was driven by Sean Walker and Damon Hill 96 F1 world champion. The car was fully restored in 2007 then it was shipped to Australia where it has competed in Historic Touring Car racing ever since. Recently the car was given a full mechanical restoration and in its first race outing at Wakefield Park ran second out a field of twenty cars. This car has the potential to be a front running car. Specifications: Original Sierra RS500 Group A shell, current Certificate of description, fitted with a one meeting old race engine. Getrag gearbox, triple plate clutch, AP air jacks, 9 inch diff, Bilstein Group A suspension, Centre lock BBS wheels (8 wheels), AP brakes F&R. It is race ready
