Engine

The DOHC four-cylinder engine was built/prepared by Domenico Fasano and has been set up with competition use in mind.

Fuel is supplied through two Weber 44 IDF twin-choke carburettors. The available technical documentation for the engine specification lists engine type 132.AC4000 and a compression ratio of 9.8:1.

Various technical documents relating to the specification and build of the car are included.

Gearbox & Differential

Power is transmitted through a Bacci Romano dog-engagement racing gearbox, providing the fast and direct gear changes expected from a competition transmission.

The drivetrain is complemented by a Bacci Romano plate-type limited-slip differential, providing a motorsport-focused setup throughout the driveline.

Group 4 Axles, Suspension & Steering

The axles have been extensively converted to Group 4 specification, including Group 4 wishbones/control arms and further competition-specific axle and suspension components. Invoices and documentation for various Group 4 parts are available with the car.

The suspension is equipped with Bilstein components.

An EZ Electric Power Steering system from the Netherlands has also been installed, providing electric steering assistance without the additional hydraulic system required by conventional power steering.

Group 4 Exhaust System

The car is fitted with a Group 4 exhaust manifold/header and corresponding Group 4 exhaust system.

Supporting documentation is available, including an earlier invoice specifically identifying exhaust components supplied for a Fiat 124 Abarth Group 4 8V.

Electrical System & Dashboard

In 2023, the electrical system was comprehensively rebuilt with a completely new, custom-made wiring harness specifically designed for the car.

A particularly practical feature is the disconnect at the firewall. This allows the engine-side wiring harness to be disconnected from the vehicle wiring when removing the engine, simplifying maintenance and overhaul work.

A Philippi circuit breaker and LiteBLOX lightweight battery are also installed.

As part of the 2023 work, the dashboard was completely redesigned and newly fabricated.

Interior & Safety Equipment

The car is equipped with an OMP roll cage, FIA-specification driver and passenger seats, Sparco QRT side mounts and FIA-specification competition harnesses.

The relevant competition safety equipment is documented in the car's DMSB vehicle passport.

Wheels

The car comes with original Fiat wheels as well as an additional set of Campagnolo magnesium wheels.

The Campagnolo magnesium wheels are also documented in the DMSB KFP as a second wheel set.
