Offered for sale: an original BMW E30 M3 Minichamps Group A, built to the FIA Group A specifications in force at the time and boasting a verifiable racing history. This car competed in events including the Belgium Procar Championship and the legendary 24 Hours of Spa, making it one of a select group of original E30 M3s with an authentic competitive history.

In 2021, the car was fully restored and rebuilt, with no expense spared. The bodywork was completely stripped, chemically stripped of paint, treated with a KTL coating and then professionally repainted. Thanks to this thorough restoration, the car is in excellent condition, both technically and cosmetically.

The original 2.3-litre BMW Group A racing engine was rebuilt entirely to the original specifications and delivers approximately 284 pk. Since its overhaul, the engine has covered

around 1,500 kilometres during the Tourenwagen Legenden. The powertrain comprises a Getrag dogleg gearbox, a limited-slip differential with a 4.26:1 final drive ratio and 75% lock-up, and an MBE engine management system, delivering the pure driving experience for which the Group A M3 is renowned worldwide.

The chassis is also top-class. The car is fitted with an Intrax 4-way ARC suspension,

Original aluminium Group A struts, central wheel nuts, an adjustable brake balance and AP Racing Pro 5000 Radical brakes with 6-piston calipers at the front and 4-piston calipers at the rear. Furthermore, the car features electric power steering, a 60-litre FIA fuel tank, an integrated air suspension system and an interior fully fitted to Group A specifications, complete with a roll cage and carbon fibre components. The car is accompanied by a valid DMSB passport.

The bodywork features original steel Group A body panels. The car has only sustained documented minor damage to the left front wing and is otherwise in exceptionally good condition.

This BMW M3 is not a replica or recreation, but an original Group A racing car with a proven international racing history. Thanks to its recent restoration and the very limited mileage since the engine overhaul, the car is immediately eligible for historic racing series and events such as Tourenwagen Golden Ära, Tourenwagen Legenden, Peter Auto and Belcar Historic Cup of Masters Historic Racing, but it is also a particularly attractive collector’s item within the iconic history of the DTM and Group A.
