Developed by McLaren Customer Racing as the competition-bred evolution of the acclaimed 570S, the 570 GT4 was engineered with one objective in mind – delivering professional-grade performance, reliability and accessibility for serious track drivers. Built around McLaren’s immensely strong carbon fibre MonoCell II chassis and powered by the marque’s formidable 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8, the GT4 combines breathtaking pace with remarkable balance and precision.

This left-hand drive example dates from 2017 and has covered approximately 10,000km from new. It remains to standard GT4 specification, benefiting from the desirable Trophy Map and retaining its race-ready seven-speed transmission. It sits on Pirelli slick tyres measuring 265/645-18 at the front and 305/680-18 at the rear, while a V-Box data logging system is fitted for detailed performance analysis.

Originally acquired by Silverstone from Pure McLaren, the car has been maintained throughout its time with the circuit by Silverstone’s own experienced technical team. Whilst there is no conventional service history, the car is accompanied by its component life ‘living sheets’, documenting service intervals and replacement schedules in the manner expected of a professionally operated competition car. Silverstone confirms the car has remained in standard GT4 specification throughout its life and has not suffered accident damage during its ownership.

The cockpit is exactly as one would expect from a contemporary GT4 racer, featuring a full FIA-style roll cage, competition bucket seat, integrated fire suppression system and all the equipment necessary for serious circuit use. Prior to handover, the car will be prepared by Silverstone and presented ready for its next owner. As with any modern GT4 machine, prospective purchasers should note that operation on the track typically requires experienced technical support, including two personnel for refuelling procedures.

Although no longer eligible for current FIA-sanctioned GT4 competition without updating time-expired safety equipment such as the fuel cell and seat, the McLaren is ideally suited to track days, demonstrations, manufacturer events and non-FIA racing series, offering its next custodian an authentic factory-built GT racing experience.

What elevates this lot still further is the exceptional package that accompanies it. Generously donated by Silverstone to benefit Nordoff and Robbins, the UK’s largest music therapy charity, the successful bidder will also receive 12 months’ complimentary garaging at Silverstone, professional racing driver qualification tuition, accommodation at the circuit’s trackside hotel during the training programme and the opportunity to enjoy the car at one of the world’s most famous circuits, subject to availability. Alternatively, the new owner is free to store or use the car elsewhere as they wish.

Adding a unique finishing touch, the McLaren is currently being specially wrapped by Silverstone exclusively for its new owner.
