Triple Weber 48s and competition exhaust manifold

Racetorations (Piper) Cam RCT1312 

Block line-bored to take white metal bearings (standard engine runs in casting) Vernier cam sprocket

Racetorations double valve springs with anodised caps

Racetorations Pistons and Carillo Con Rods / competition head gasket

Crankshaft standard but balanced (good for 7000rpm)

Main bearings strapped plus steel front oil seal housing and inserts

Alloy water pump housing

Lightened Flywheel

New Aldon distributer with Aldon race coil (NOS Lucas housing with Aldon electronic internals)

Magnecor 8.5mm Competition HT Leads

ITG Race air filter

Holley fuel pressure regulator

Oil cooler / sandwich plate and hoses

Starter motor and alternator

2 sumps – high capacity, low profile trap door baffled steel sump and aluminum TR5 / 6 sump with windage tray and baffles.

The engine was originally built by Tony Lindsay Dean and later rebuilt and bored by John Wood of Gemini Engineering. Always run with an Accusump that provides oil pressure before cranking.

Recently set up on a rolling road by Ricky Gauld Performance Engineering.

Made 230bhp at the crank (with printout) – would maybe make slightly more as the car was sitting down on the exhaust and getting wheelspin on the rollers.

The engine is remarkably tractable with a very wide power band. Still in car so can be heard running, etc. Only selling due to a change in local race series class structure.
