Racing History

The BMW E36 320i Super Touring Car with chassis number 96/007 was entered in the 1996 season by the well-known Italian BMW team CiBiEmme in the Campionato Italiano Superturismo. In the first half of the season, the car was driven by Yolanda Surer. In the second half, former Formula 1 driver Gianni Morbidelli took over the wheel. Morbidelli achieved multiple podium finishes with the car.

In 1997, the car went to the USA, where it was successfully campaigned by Randy Pobst in the North American Touring Car Championship, scoring numerous podium finishes.
