Peugot 207 THP Spider
Fully operational and fully refreshed with a host of upgrades and ready to go with rolling pit toolbox and basic spares package. This car (Chassis #22) is one of a handful of Spiders left and possibly the only operational car in the UK. There are thought to be less than half a dozen Spiders still race ready in the world!
About Chassis 22.
In 2018 the car was stripped to a bare frame and completely rebuilt by UK Motorsport engineering / F1 specialists TDF and developed/updated with new Shiftec paddle shift system, radiators, new wheel option, gearbox upgrade etc. at a cost of over £20,000.
I purchased the car from TDF after that refresh in 2018 and enjoyed using it for track days. The car was fantastic as a training tool (as well as being immense fun with its instant gear shifts and great balance!) and really helped me make the transition from Caterhams etc to having some downforce. It was a terrific stepping stone, allowing me to build skills until I purchased a Radical SR8.
Following this and in preparation for sale the car has had a full programme of refresh including another gearbox rebuild, new clutch, fluids, shiftec rebuild, shiftec compressor and tank, updated fuel ecu, brand new oem wiring harness, starter motor, high pressure fuel pump and many other improvements including an improved fuel system with swirl pot, lift pump and main pump, simple fuelling with conventional fuel cap replacing the old setup which required use of special motorsport breathers and filler. Currently fitted with 35 litre tank ideal for track days but could easily be swapped for larger unit for endurance events.
The car It has done no wheel to wheel racing since it has been in the UK and is one of the very few of the original Spiders to have not been damaged during it's time in the THP Championship or at any other time. The car has an impressive race history with numerous wins and podiums and has been highly competitive throughout its life.
The car comes with a racing logbook (which obviously I've never used)
When I bought the car it had 2900KM total on engine - I estimate that I doubled that to around 6000km in total - around 10>15 track days at various mileages ran. Gearbox has 0KM obviously.
The car is extremely clean and tidy having also been repainted. It has not been used since this refresh work and is ready to go subject to your own spanner check and shake down.
Including with the car is an english translation of the original Peugeot Sport technical manual, setup sheets and support package eg:
- Three sets of wheels (1 X Team Dynamics and 2 X Speedline)
- THP Cup spec brake discs.
- CL Brake Pads
- Camber Shims
- CWP Kit (with circa 500KMs life remaining).
- Gear Ratio and dog ring spares.
- Gearbox seal spares.
- Gearbox second motion shaft and lock nut.

- Alcon friction plate (circa 1500KMs life remaining).
- Fastener set.
- Body work Dzeus clips and springs.
The Full Spec of the car is listed below:
Engine:
- Peugeot "Prince" EP6 4 Cylinder Turbocharged with Direct Injection.
- THP Evolution Package with "Twintercooler" dual intercoolers and larger turbo.
- Power - Peugeot/Mygale state 230bhp for the Evolution spec engine. When measured on a hub dyno the engine produced 226.7bhp. (TDF)
- Torque - Peugeot/Mygale state 250NM. When measured on a hub dyno the engine produced 292NM at 4000RPM. (TDF)
- Large capacity catch tank to FIA/MSA spec.
- Open low loss air filter.
- Side pod mounted radiators
- TDF developed UK circuit legal blown diffuser exhaust system built by CTE to the highest standards. The exhaust is repackable and meets noise everywhere in the UK including Bedford.
- Peugeot Sport THP Evolution cat removal front pipe.
Gearbox/Transmission:
- Sadev ST75 sequential gearbox with plate type LSD and cable actuated clutch.
- CG Motorsport 6 paddle clutch friction plate and uprated pressure plate.
- Single mass light weight steel TTV flywheel.
- Sadev release bearing.
- Sadev drive shafts.
- Semi-Automatic Paddle Shift with the latest Shiftec "Lemans" Shift Servo, Air compressor, air tank and Marelli GCU.
- The gearbox has just been rebuilt at a cost of over £4000 with whatever Sadev recommended. (SWA)
Chassis:
- Excellent condition space frame with no accident damage.
- Inboard pull rod double wishbone suspension with Koni dampers that have been recently dyno'd.
- All sphericals and wheel bearings in good condition.
- Electro-Hydraulic power steering.
- Multi-piece composite down force generating body with late evolution brace panels. Finshed in white. Bodywork has just been repainted.
- Late evolution cockpit padding and anti-intrusion panels.
- FIA homologated front crash box and crumple zone.
- Additional front clip brace to reduce front bodywork movement over kerbs.
- TRS HANS Harness - now out of date (2022)
- Mechanical Fire System (requires fitment of pull handle as required depending on if you're racing etc)
- Wing mirrors not currently installed (requires your choice of location)
Brakes:
- J-Hook single piece discs. 330mm front, 283mm rear.
- 2 Piston front calipers, single piston rear calipers.
Electronics:
- Crisartech Dash Display with on board diagnostic system. (converted to read in english)
- Marelli Motorsport SRA-E Engine ECU (with later Fuel ECU)
- Marelli Motorsport Gearbox ECU
- Peugeot Sport wiring looms. (brand new)
- Mechanical battery master. (cockpit only at present - requires external if you are racing etc)
Wheels:
- 18" 8J front and 9J rear Team Dynamics Pro-Race 1.2 in white. 1 X Car Set
- 18" 8J front and 8J rear Speedline 2113 in white. 2 X Car Set - Crack tested 12/12/17 and run little since.
This is an incredible car and one of the fastest Peugeot track car available for private ownership outside of the LMP or Group C cars. It has very reasonable running costs and is capable of being the fastest car on a track day or a competitive entry in various sprint and hillclimb championships, OSS Championship and a variety of European sprint and Endurance series. As one of a handful of remaining cars, one of even fewer fully operational cars and the best condition remaining car with a great history it also represents a fantastic investment.
I'd also comment that it's a lot less hassle than the Radical to run - being a simple car engine you just fill it with fuel and press the starter button and drive round until the tyres pop or you get tired!
To drive the car is mind blowing with an incredible amount of grip, a gearbox which changes gear in less than a tenth of a second via steering wheel mounted paddles and a power to weight ratio that eclipses any Peugeot road car!
The sheer pace at which the car covers ground is simply fantastic to experience. I've truly enjoyed my time with it but it's now massively in my way physically and it needs a new home!
