2004 (53) Mini Cooper S R53.  Road legal, prepared for Hillclimbs / Sprints / Track.  Very reliable car in excellent condition, only 85033 miles.  Will come with new MOT.  Done around 600 miles since being upgraded.  Mainly road miles with only 9 events.

Body & Interior

Exterior - JCW bumpers & skirts

Interior - Sparco bucket seats and 6 point Sparco harnesses (HANS compatible).  Seats mounted on modified standard runners so retains full adjustability. New in 2024.

Engine and Transmission

Cylinder Head - inlet ports standard, deburred & cleaned. Inlet manifold match ported to head, exhaust ports modified, match ported to manifold.

Valves radiused and reground.

Reinz full Head gasket set and new head bolts

Newman PH3/4 Cam

4 into 1 Stainless Exhaust manifold, Heavy Duty Flexi joint.  Sports Cat into 2.5 inch stainless profusion front silencer, into 2 x stainless rear exhaust boxes.  

New timing chain and tensioner, guides etc.

Bespoke intake.  BMW 70mm throttle body, custom located with cold air intake via K&N filter. 

Lightweight TTV single mass flywheel

New clutch kit

Later 2006 transmission (BKL) - lower final drive ratio and LSD - reconditioned, faultless.

2006 ECU - allows programming of ECU to 7250 rpm.

Rolling Road set up at PVE, Chard.  238 hp at 7100rpm.  Lots of torque, easy to drive.  

15% Supercharger pulley & 2% Crank pulley.

550cc bosch injectors

NGK ‘8’s - colder spark plugs

Alloy radiator, Davies Craig electric water pump system.  

Performance intercooler with cold air ‘box’.

Recently had engine and gearbox oil change (inc filter), coolant change, supercharger oil change, brake and clutch fluid change, power steering fluid change.

New alternator.

 

ALL original parts come with the car, including the leather front seats.  We built this from a very clean standard road car early in 2024, can be put back to full road spec easily.

 

Dry stored whilst in our ownership, trailered. This is a well sorted car that is turnkey for track use or very able road car. Any inspection welcome, no tyre kickers please.
