Description:

Mclaren M10B chassis 400-10 is possibly the most historically significant and period-correct F5000 available today, with significant Australian historic provenance.

It was imported by Frank Matich in May 1970 and went on to compete in over 35 races in the hands of Frank Matich, Frank Radisich, and Colin Bond.

Among its many achievements, the car claimed victory at the 1970 Australian Grand Prix and again at the 1971 Riverside L&M Grand Prix, USA.

Over its racing career, it competed in three Australian Grand Prix, three New Zealand Grand Prix, as well as the 1971 Tasman Series and the 1971 US L&M Championship.

In recent years, it has been a regular invitee to the Goodwood Festival of Speed —appearing in 2021 with David Brabham at the wheel and again in 2023, driven by Frank Matich’s son, Kris Matich.

The car has been fully restored to its original 1970 Australian Grand Prix–winning livery and remains carefully maintained.

It is powered by the rare Repco engine and fitted with its original Hewland DG300 gearbox.

The McLaren comes with a CAMS (HTP) Certificate of Description and Logbook.
