This Porsche 911 (996) was delivered new by the Porsche Center Rhein-Oberberg (D) to the Jürgen Alzen Motorsport team on March 28, 2003 and was immediately entered in the Porsche Supercup.

Well-known drivers such as Alessandro Zampedri, Bert van Rossem and Marco Seefried successfully raced this Porsche internationally in 2003 and 2004 in the Porsche Supercup Championship on circuits such as Imola, Barcelona, Zeltweg, Monaco, the Nürburgring, Indianapolis and many other tracks. The races took place in the respective supporting events of Formula 1 and the DTM.

The car took part in various national and international races and training events in 2006.

In 2007, it took part in the 24-hour race at Spa Franchorchamps in the G2 class. The drivers were the French Franzosen Manuel Ferreira, Philippe Nozière. Rémy Brouard und Philippe Roussaud. The race was successfully completed (43rd place on the grid, 32nd place overall in the final classification).

After that, it was quiet until the 2019 season saw two appearances at the well-known historic racing events “Endurance Racing Legends” organized by Peter Auto. In April 2019 in Barcelona, the car was able to keep up and achieved a respectable 12th place overall. In June 2019, in Dijon, the Porsche raced the entire weekend as a guest without being classified.

The Porsche underwent extensive mechanical overhauls in 2015, 2016 and 2018. Among other things, known weaknesses of the 996 were eliminated. Since then, the car has only been used for 13.5 hours of free driving practice.

The Porsche comes with two additional sets of wheels and a compressed air lance for the built-in lifting system. A passenger seat with seat belts is also fitted.

The documentation supplied is very comprehensive and also includes a large number of pictures. The car was illustrated several times in the book “Porsche Sport 2003” by Ulrich Upietz.

With this vehicle, the new owner acquires the opportunity to take part in numerous historic races at low cost or to have a lot of fun with a real racing car at free training events.
