Description:
Race prepared all steel 1500PXF engine with forged crank, rods and pistons. Cosworth A6 cam, big valves, roller rockers, twin 45DCOE carbs. Ultra light flywheel with competition paddle clutch. Dry sump system with alloy sump.
Lightweight race battery, Pertronix electronic ignition unit. Remote electric plumbed in fire extinguisher and remote electric battery isolator. Light weight alternator and starter.
Stainless competition manifold and repackable silencer. Heavy duty alloy radiator and electric fan. 26R close ratio gears in lightweight case. Alloy diff nose with 4.2 LSD. Uprated half shafts. 40L bag tank, electric pump and regulator. Onboard, hard wired GoPro camera with remote switch. In date harness and extinguisher.
I originally purchased this car in October 1989 and raced it for several years as an open car with the HSCC. It has recently been rebuilt with the correct 1500PXF engine and refitted with its hardtop and screens. I am very aware that it should be a rapid car in the right hands but I am approaching 80 and it needs a younger pilot. It remains road legal with working horn, indicators, hazards, 2-speed wipers and washers.
There is a huge amount of spares available, including engine blocks, cylinder heads, diff units (3.9, 4.2, 4.55), rear axle. Three sets of alloys, two front body sections, another complete roof and screens, new front and rear screens. Many suspension and brake parts.
