1996 Pro Street Impala SS. The race engine and transmission has been pulled out because the engine alone cost too much money. The stock LT-1 and stock 4L60 transmission is in the car now (hence now being a "street rod"). I re-installed the twin turbo set-up that was on the previous engine, but installed smaller turbos (see photos). No money was spared building this car. It won the Super Chevy show for best Pro Street in 2008. See article.

This will be an absolute head turner when you pull up to a car meet. You can leave the stock engine and transmission in the car and have a bad ass street rod, or put your own high horsepower engine in it.

If your state has emission testing... This will not pass visual or tail pipe inspection. The vehicle is currently not registered (non-op), but everything else is current. The stock engine and transmission runs great without any issues. You can raise the boost on the engine, but I suggest you have someone who knows about turbos to tune it first.

Why am I selling the car??? Well, I really don't want to sell it. I just have way too many projects and cars (35). Plus California is now really tough on modded OBD 2 cars and just don't want to deal with the hassle. Would rather sell this out of state to somone who lives in a non emissions tested state.

The paint job alone on the car cost me $15,000 back in 2007. The aluminum race seats are on the factory power seat frame. This car has air conditioning, power seats, power mirrors, and the stock sound system. The rear seats are non-existent due to the huge wheel tubs. All tubs and metal work has been powder coated black. The front suspension is on Air Ride shockwave struts.

The back half of the vehicle was fabricated by Fab-Tech fabrications. the rear end is a Ford 9" 4:56 gears, 35 spline Moser axles, 4-link, Detroit lockers.5" Weld Draglites up front 26x7.5-15, The rears are Weld Draglites 15x15 with massive Mickey Thompson Sportmans Pro 33X21.50-15LT.
