Chassis number 260491 was manufactured by Lotus in the UK and sold to Anthony Schrauwen (AS) as a personal export for racing on 6 March 1964. The car was registered in Belgium on 15 September 1964, registration number ARV 223. Original registration papers available for inspection. 

AS is a Belgian racing driver renowned for his participation in historic racing, particularly with classic cars from the 1950’s and 1960’s. He has raced his Lister Knobbly in the Salvadori Cup at Goodwood, a Lotus 30 at the Spa Classic in 2013 and more recently in 2023 competed in his BMW 635 Csi in Peter Auto events at Mugello and Paul Ricard.  

AS  had owned this Elan for 55 years when the current owner bought it from him in 2019 , so its only had two owners!

2024 Mugello, Modena Cento Ore.

Over the winter of 24/25 the car has been gone through ready for another full season of racing whether that’s Peter auto, Spa 6hr or something in the UK.
