Description:

I bought this car in 2021 and since then it has taken me to Le Mans (and back of course), with no problems.  Since I bought it, I've replaced the front crossmember and all the bushes.  I've installed Spax adjustable shock absorbers, brake discs and pads.  It is Polybushed all round.

It sailed through its MOT in June although, as a precaution, I replaced the trailing arms.

Bodywork is sound with very minor rust spots that can easily be repaired.  The usual front wing bottom problems were solved when I purchased the car.  (Photos are available).

Annual services include oil and filter changes and in 2023 I replaced the gearbox oil and filter, and the diff oil.

All major work has been carried out by Ken Clarke Motorsport in Hinckley.

It is not perfect but with 110k miles on the clock has a reasonable patina for its age.  The hood, although serviceable could be replaced; the aircon requires re commissioning (although as a convertible would that be necessary?); usual cracks in the ski slope; the driver's seat offside squab is showing the normal signs of wear for a car of this age.

In my ownership it has never required any oil or water top ups although I always check before setting off.

These cars are growing in popularity and this year is the 50th anniversary of the car.  There is a vibrant XJS club (https://www.xjsclub.org/) which not only encourages use but provides support for members and arranges gettherings and tours.

Reason for sale?  I'm not allowed to have two!
