Description:
Chevron B19 – 71 – 8 is a well-known car on the US vintage racing scene, having been successfully campaigned by a series of prominent owners over the last three decades, surely a testament to the joy and excitement that a well-sorted 2 liter car can bring. The car has appeared – and won – at most major U.S. historic racing events over more than 20 years including Monterey, Watkins Glen, Sebring, Road Atlanta, and Lime Rock. 71- 8 has always been professionally prepared and maintained by prominent East Coast prep shops including Lee Chapman, GMT and Langbein Racing. According to OldRacingCars.com, this car (the “Swart-Tugberk car”) was first purchased and imported into the US 1998 – please refer to the site for a full description of the provenance. As it sits today the car is fast, race-ready and fresh with a Cosworth YB engine. Log books, HTP papers and dyno sheets are available on request along, with substantial amounts of other paperwork and history - plus of course the opportunity to discuss the car directly with both previous owners and previous prep shops if desired. Videos of the car running are available – search “Chevron B19” on Youtube.
Recent work completed in the last year – pedals modified for left-foot braking and seating optimization for 6-foot driver, replacement of ring gear.
Car is aggressively priced to allow a new owner to upgrade from YB motor if desired. Owner and prep shop happy to assist with international shipping. Please reach out with any questions directly.
