Description:

The Cauduro Tampolli "Team was started in 1995, and two years later thanks to the contribution from M. Tomelli and M. Milani a CN car was developped, with which the team won the 1998 championship.  In 1999 the Tampolli conquered the SR2 class of the Sports Racing World Cup, finishing 49 points ahead of the Brunieau Debora after nine rounds."  Extract from Sports Racing World Cup 1999, by Elena Resconi and Davide Franzini.

This Tampoli SR2 bears the number 005. It was built in 1999 by TAMPOLLI R. ENGINEERING SAS, lead by Raffaele Tampolli, in Calenzano/Firenze Italy. It is powered by a six cylinder Alfa Romeo engine, prepared by Ellegi Motori, developping 420-450 bhp. The car weighs 675 kg.  
The car was upgraded in 2001, where the crash box was replaced by a carbon one. The car model was then updated to SR2 RTA 2001. 

Team Canduro Tampolli Team scored 122 points in 1999, and
the number 005 piloted by Angelo Lancelotti 1999 scored 82 points, winning the SR2 championship.

In 1999 in World Sport Racing Prototype: 
2h30 Barcelona, 500 km Monza, 500km Spa, 2h30 Pergusa, 2h30 Donington, 2h30 Brno,  2h30 Nurburgring, 2h30 Magny Cours, 2h30 Kyalami.

In 2000 in World Sport Racing Prototype:
500km Monza, 2h30 Spa, 250 mile Daytona, 500 mile Road America, 2h30 Brno, 2h30 Donington, 2h30 Nurburgring, 2h30 Magny Cours.    

Afterwards, the car was retired from racing. It was repurposed for private events, before being sold to a private collectioner until 2021, date at which the current owner made its acquisition.

The car has been fully revised in 2022 to a race ready condition by Courage garage,  Le Mans, France. The car is currently referenced by Peter Auto and Master endurance legend. It is eligible for racing at Le Mans Classic, Spa Classic, ...
Since then, the car has only participated in a few races. 
The car body has also been signed by Sebastien Loeb and Jacky Icks in 2023 at the Charade Supershow event. 
The car is currently listed for participation at Le Mans Classic 2025.
