Peter May Inline Sprite A series race engine
Short engine that was a spare for my Frogeye Sprite track car which I sold a number of years ago. Its built as a 975cc on a AEG312 block with a short stroke billet steel crank originally built by Peter May. The engine was dry stored but when I stripped it the crank had picked up some surface corrosion and will need a regrind (see photos).
l Very rare AEG 312 Block
l 708 mm bore with 619mm stroke cylinders are unmarked.
l Steel billet Crank. Mains 2 inch. Ends 1.62 inch
l Cooper S rods AEG 521
l Omega 3025 pistons +40
l Kcmd 310 cam
l Duplex timing gear
l Plus all the other bits to put it back together but no push rods or cam followers
All in all its a complete short engine which could be built as is , or the rare block as a basis for classic/historic competition use.
Cylinder head not available though I do also have a bare 12G 295 head available. I’m no expert on engines but have done my best to spec it. Will happily provide more images if required. Location is Evesham Worcestershire.
