This rare Historic engine was developed by Cosworth to be the ultimate Normally Aspirated to dominate the up to 1600cc class.

Just, fully rebuilt and re-commissioned, ready to compete.

Ultimate flat big valve pre X/F race head, with shimmed square Cosworth rocker mounts. Hardened valve seats. 1.8in inlets, 1.5in exhausts. New multi layered Cometic head gasket. Super un-leaded pump fuel, or a race fuel is ideal.

Twin 45's, with Cosworth internal mods, refreshed and mated.

Cosworth FVA five main bearing thick walled X/Flow block, 85mm bore, 1575cc, Cosworth steel billet crank, Cosworth short stroke steel rods. New Vandervell bearings. Cosworth square steel caps. Accralite 85mm race pistons. ARP bolts throughout.

Ultimate Cosworth race cam, equivalent to the A8, does rev to over 9,400rpm.

Dry sump system, with pump and dry sump, stripped, overhauled.

Double chain, new tensioner.

New water pump, new build gaskets and seals.

All steel 184mm lightweight race flywheel.

An AP 184mm multi-plate clutch and a magnesium bellhousing is available, that can match to a Quaife Ford gearbox.

This engine is perfect for all Historic competition vehicles. Ford Escorts, Ford Anglia's, Lotus Sevens etc that wish to keep the car in period. Also ideal for Mallocks, Single seaters, Sports GT, kit cars and specials etc.

In my Mallock, I achieved a 10.24s at Brighton.

If to use, stop, start, crawling on the road, sprint or Hill, I would reccomend an AP/Helix 4 or 6 Paddle clutch from Burtons, more forgiving.
