Race winning FN2 race car professionally built, maintained (Grinspeed, SW motorsport and Ben Sharpe Racing) and run (Ben Sharpe Racing) taking numerous outright podiums and an outright race win in the Racing Honda’s Championship this season (my first full season racing).

Turn key package ready to win again in the Racing Honda’s Championship, BRSCC Clubsport Trophy, 750mc Hot Hatch and many other series. 

This car would also make a reliable and easy to maintain track day car.

Chassis

The car was originally built using all new Honda OEM parts for Castle Coombe Saloons by a Honda engineer from a bare shell taken from the production line which has never been on the road.

• Custom Cages T45 multipoint weld in cage to strut tops, the cage was supplied and fitted by Custom Cages and is a work of art.
• Motorsport UK compliant seat mounts supplied and fitted by SW Motorsport.
• Extremely lightweight FN2 shell.

Engine

• 275bhp (Tegiwa dyno) K24 frank (K20z head K24 JDM bottom end) built by BWH Performance in July 2024 
• Bourne HPP cams 
• Jenvey individual throttle bodies supplied and calibrated by Mugen with Carbon Fibre airbox 
• Large CC injectors fitted by Longman Racing
• Clockwise Motion baffled sump 
• 4 Piston racing high pressure oil pump
• Oil cooler 
• Mugen cam cover
• CPL Racing Exhaust Manifold with full custom 3inch manifold back stainless system by Pipewerx 
• Mishimoto radiator and silicone hoses
• Motorsport UK compliant aluminium oil catch can

ECU and Fueling

• EFI Euro 4 ECU supplied by OBR with lightweight engine loom 
• Engine mapped by Longman Racing in July 2024
• Aluminium tank foam filled and mounted to boot floor with AH Fabrications swirl pot set up with low pressure and high pressure fuel pumps
• Goodridge fuel hoses and fittings throughout  

Gearbox

• FN2 standard casing (brand new in 2023), standard FN2 1, 2 and 3 with short ratio JDM 4th, 5th and 6th supplied by Tegiwa
• Spoon 5.3 F/D
• Kazz plated LSD rebuilt and set up by Ben Sharpe Racing at the start of this season 
• Carbon synchros 4/5/6
• Lighted and balanced flywheel
• Helix paddle clutch with AP master cylinder (both brand new at the start of this season)
• Gearbox originally built by Grinspeed in 2023 and was checked over after Racing Honda’s Donington Park round in August 2024 by Ben Sharpe Racing 
• Hybrid racing short shifter supplied and set up by Grinspeed

Brakes 

• AP Racing CP9440 330mm 4 pot front brakes (with new PBS Pro Comp pads) 
• Standard FN2 rear brakes (yellow stuff pads)
