Description:

This represents a great opportunity to start hillclimbing in a “slicks and wings” single seater, powered by a Honda 600cc CBR600F3 engine.

Built in 1992 by Jim Brady and Jo White at Brady Fabrications, the Nemesis features a full aluminium honeycomb monocoque.  During its life, the car has been through several iterations, but Jo White has continued to be involved with the car through his Vulcan Dezign fabrication business near Bicester where he still has the moulds for the bodywork and the floor / diffuser.  Going forward, Jo will be available to provide support to thenew owner.

We bought the car in 2022 from Tracey Cameron and before that, the car was campaigned successfully by Rob Capper.  Rob had fully restored and updated the car with numerous improvements engineered by Bill Chaplin (Empire Race Cars.)  However, we are a trio of seventy-somethings, and in truth, the car deserves to be in the hands of a younger and lighter jockey who could really get the best out of the car !  That said, the car still posted a 38.57 at Gurston in August.

The Honda CBR600F3 engine is equipped with Keihin FCR flat slide carburettors and these were stripped and renovated for the start of the 2023 season.  The engine has proved to be very reliable and it is known that the cylinder head has been gas flowed and polished.

The outboard front disc brakes feature Brembo calipers and the inboard rear calipers are AP Racing units.  New EBC pads were fitted for the 2023 season and they are still in good condition.  The rear axle is chain driven and is fitted with a LSD.  The fully adjustable suspension uses wishbones front and rear with adjustable AVO spring damper units mounted inboard and operated by rocker arms.

The car has an adjustable carbon composite rear wing and an aluminium honeycomb nosebox with a carbon front wing that features adjustable flaps and Force Racing carbon end plates.

During our ownership, the aluminium chassis has been checked and repaired where necessary.  We revised the gear linkage and fitted a Racetorx gear-change support.  The front bodywork was renovated and resprayed and we have fitted a new Honda clutch assembly, RK ‘O’ ring drive chain, Odyssey AGM type battery, Facet solid-state fuel pump and a new carbon fibre dash panel and instrumentation.

For 2023, the car had its suspension geometry set up by Ian Dayson at Force Racing Cars and for 2024, the car’s Dymag magnesium alloy wheels were fitted with a set of 4 brand new Avon A15 slicks.  The car has completed 6 meetings on these tyres and they are still fresh.

The Nemesis is a great car to drive and there is still plenty of scope for further modification and improvement.  It comes with a valid Motorsport UK Passport and is ready to race.  It will be supplied with a spares package that includes a spare Honda CBR600 F3 engine, 4 Dymag magnesium alloy rims fitted with an old set of Avon wets, the car’s original side pods and undertray / diffuser and a second, wider undertray / diffuser.

Price : £7500.00

For sale by separate negotiation is the Ifor Williams CT136HD 4-wheeled trailer that we have used to transport the Nemesis.  This trailer was brand new at the start of 2020 and it comes complete with a self-braked winch, spare wheel kit, wheel chocks, hitch lock, locking wheel clamp and a Datatag security system registration if required.

Price : £2850.00

Or, if purchased together, the price will be £9950.00

The car and trailer are currently located in North Wiltshire and may be viewed by arrangement with Bernard (07920 051652) or Denis (07740 906520)
