BMW M535i race car built and developed by Jabba sport and Zest Race Car Engineering over the past 3 years at a cost of over £65,000 plus the car. We don’t think you could build it now for less than 100K.

Car has been prepped to gain entry into the Motor Racing Legends Historic Touring Car Challenge – Competing in the Silverstone Classic and Festival for the last 3 seasons in HT3C. Also eligible for CSCC Future Classics and the CTCRC Pre ’93 where it sits in Class C. The car has class wins in all the above and holds a couple of class lap records for the Pre ‘93s. Car would also be eligible for various European “Youngtimer” type events and still has its original V5 to help with international transport.

The car is a dream to drive, the most fun I’ve ever had in a race car, giving great results consistently – Just 2 shakedown DNFs in our first season and none since!

A really well known and loved car in the classic paddocks – Livery is a tribute to many BMW race cars of the era and it gets so much attention that we spend hours chatting to fans and other drivers about their memories of E28s. Images of the car have even been used by Silvertone to promote the Festival, Thruxton to promote their Classic and CSCC to promote race meetings.

Only being sold to concentrate on another BMW 635 build.

Chassis

·         M30B34 engine stripped, machined, balanced and rebuilt by Jody Halse of Climax Motorsport complete with new 92.5mm pistons and uprated camshaft. Final capacity 3468cc

·         Matched set of BMW E46 M3 Injectors

·         Emerald ECU and custom map giving a reliable 240hp with great torque characteristics

·         Cold air induction with Ramair twin layer foam filter

·         Uprated vibratechnics engine mounts

·         Stainless steel Fritz Bits tubular manifold with stainless custom 2.5” exhaust system – rear section splits either side of diff and has a choice of straight pipes or repackable silencer

Transmission

·         Getrag 265 dogleg close ratio gearbox with 1:1 final drive (overdrive gearbox available as an alternative) Rebuilt by renowned experts All Gears

·         3.4:1 large case 210 Limited Slip Differential rebuilt by Competition Transmission Systems

·         Solid short shift with extended and weighted Grandado shift lever, uprated Hack Engineering double sheer shift linkage and uber cool original Kamei golfball gearknob

Race fit out

·         Interior stripped, smoothed and prepped before a showroom quality paint job – it even has Paint Protection Film in the passenger footwell to retain the lustrous finish while mechanics jump in and out!

·         Period style Momo dished steering wheel and boss kit

·         Dash flocked with carbon switch and dial panels

·         Illuminated aircraft style switches and breakers

·         Period style instrument layout. SPA Rev counter upgrade to include shift lights/needle illumination by revs.

·         Air jack system braced back to cage feet with 4 air jack and lance connection behind fuel filler

·         80 litre FIA fuel tank by ATL with 3 door flapper, Bosch 044 pump, Goodrich fittings throughout
