Description:

Early 90's Mk2 Formula Opel Lotus built by Schubel, designed by Reynard stored and unused for about 20years until I purchased in 2015. It was a project in a decommissioned state. My intention was to compete in Mono Classic but due to other single seater committments the car remained in storage for a further 7 years. 

Car has been extensivly dismantled and where neccessary items replaced and/or updated. The 2.0 XE engine serviced, new cambelt fitted and run OK with the Bosch fuel injection. Changed to 45DCOE's for simplicity and a new SBD ignition system fitted. Engine run on dyno and all set to regulations.

Hewland Mk9 gearbox overhauled by JPR at Silverstone before competion use in 2023. New battery, extinguisher system and indate belts fitted to mountings which meet current regs.

The car was used for only three MonoClassic events during 2023, it ran reliably and was was placed in all events.

The bodywork is in need of improvement but serviceable. Very reliable car and a good basis for events in Europe and Monoposto.

Included: 2 sets of wheels and tyres, injection system with wiring loom, gear sets.
