This is a unique opportunity to purchase a race ready 1966 Brabham BT 15 formula B race car. The BT 15 was one of Ron Tauranac’s race winning designs. Built at the race car factory of motor racing developments (MRD) in Chessington Greater London.
This 1966 BT 15 F3-33-66 has a well documented history, first starting life as a 1965 Bt15 car campaigned by the (later to become an F1 race winning) driver Peter Gethin then driving for the Charles Lucas Engineering team in the British F3 races.
The British F3 was one of the most intensely competitive championships on the planet with fields in 1965 which included the likes of Piers Courage, Roy Pike, Tony Lanfranchi, Harry Stiller, Derek Bell, Jonathon William, Peter Gethin, John Miles, Brian Hart, Alan Rollingson, Mo Nunn, Chris Erwin, Tony Dean and others
After the 1965 season the car was then sold to Mike Knight for the 1966 season with the Robs Lamplough race team mainly competing in Europe with results: - 4th in Rouen, 5th in Reims and a 5th at the Danish GP at Rosgile Ring on its return to compete in the UK it then sustained damage at Goodwood race circuit and was then sent back to MRD ( Brabham) for repairs it required a new chassis and was given the last new B15 chassis and rebuilt into F3-33-66 for Mike Knight who was also the owner of the famous Magny-course race circuit in France at the time then raced the Brabham as part of Rob Lamplough race team in 1966.
Peter Gethin ex formula 1 driver who started his career in F3 getting noticed in British formula 3 in 1965 then moving to F 5000 and then onto F1 in 1970 with Mc Laren and then by mid 1971 moved to BRM going onto win the Italian grand prix at Monza the same year.
From 1966 onwards the car continued to be raced in F3 later moving into F4 and then onto Monoposto F3.

In 1989 winning of the Monoposto F3 championships driven by Martyn Smith.
The purchase of the car by J Galpin of Evergreen Colorado in 1992 to race in Monoposto events in the USA. The car was then converted to Formula B specifications by the fitting of the 1600 cc lotus twin cam engine to compete in formula B events in the USA

The present owner then undertook to fully race prepare and maintain the car with a professional race shop VRM in Seattle Washinton, including many upgrades and new parts it has been maintained to a competitive and race ready condition.
