Description:

I bought this car in 2017 when it was in serious need of some TLC and from what I know it had been used as a track or race car since 2008.  The shell itself is from a 2005 R50.  The car has many of the original John Cooper Motorsport parts fitted to the original MINI Challenge cars, I've marked these as (JCM) below.

In my ownership it's been completely refurbished by DJW Motorsport and most of what remained of the interior (as part of MINI Challenge regs) has been removed, along with redundant parts of the loom.  It was raced 2018-2020 in 750 MC Hot Hatch, 750 MC Roadsports and Castle Combe Hot Hatch - finishing 3rd overall in 2020 in Castle Combe Hot Hatch Class E (for the MINI R53).

DJW Motorsport have prepared and run the car for me throughout ownership and it's never had a mechanical DNF and in Castle Combe Hot Hatch has finished on the podium more often than not.

The engine was rebuilt over the winter of 2020/2021 and it's been run for less than 10 hours since.  Nothing to do with the engine, just major life changes for me.  Nearly all parts used for the rebuild are genuine MINI, except for bearings which are King.  A replacement low mileage road head was fitted, which was sent to Ric Woods/CNC Heads for new valve guides and valve seat cutting (the guy 1320 MINI use).  The head was also professionally ported to match the port sizes of the JCW head that we took off.  

The engine is currently running at 230BHP/190LB-FT and was dyno tuned by PV Engineering.  There's scope for more power, but it'll be cheaper and safer to put the car on another diet first - Glass windows, heaters and electric windows remain.

I've probably missed a lot of small details, but this car has wanted for nothing and there's nothing I can think of that hasn't been replaced or refurbished in the time I've had it.

There's also a spare rolling shell (it's been a useful donor car) and huge amount of spares that I'm willing to discuss bundling in for the right price.

The price reflects the fact that it's a nearly new engine, includes the AIM dash and the value of the JCM parts (they're fetching good money in the MINI community now).
