Zetec Engine - 230bhp Dry Sump Unused Since Rebuild
Description:
The engine is in the 230 BHP Class.
The engine was built by Phil Stevenson, Micron Eng, in Donaghadee, Bangor.
The engine is still on the delivery stand crate and is unused.
The engine had the following items renewed as part of the build:
New Dunnell race cams
Main and big-end bearings (Mahle competition)
Piston rings (for Acralite forged race pistons)
Camshafts and followers (hydraulic)
Timing belt (Kent Cams racing)
Con-rod bolts (ARP)
Main bearing bolts (standard)
Flywheel bolts (ARP)
Cylinder head bolts (standard)
Cylinder head gasket (Cometic MLS type)
Clutch intermediate plate set (AP Racing)
The cylinder head, was originally a Dunnell item.
The work done to the engine included the following:
Crankshaft crack tested and reground to -0.25mm on all journals
Crankshaft/flywheel assembly balanced
Cylinder bores lightly honed
Cylinder deck resurfaced
The engine has been converted for dry sump lubrication and has a racing aluminium flywheel.
The timing belt run was also modified for racing purposes.
The engine comes with
New complete clutch assembly
Dry sump pump
Coolant pump pulleys
PC0001 Ignition + loom and coil.
