This Lotus 23b track/race car was built by Mamba Motorsport using the original Lee Noble chassis rig in early 2009.

The car has a Mass Peugeot 2 litre dry sump engine mated to a Hewland Mk9 gearbox. It has a Mamba chassis number but is not road legal though it does come with a spare road legal front clam.

Due to increasing ill health the previous owner used it very little between 2009 and 2013 when I bought it. I recommissioned the car including repainting it in correct period Lotus green, installation of a new steering rack, suspension uprights and a Gartrac roll bar but with other projects and racing commitments and the pandemic have just not used it. The car runs and drives but will need a full check over before taking back on track including updating the extinguisher system, fitting in date seat belts, tracking and set up etc.

I bought the car along with the business assets of Mamba Motorsport in 2013. These include the original Lee Noble chassis and suspension rigs, suspension casting molds, body molds, acrylic patterns/formers for windscreen, sidescreens and headlight covers plus engineering drawings, supplier and parts lists etc.

So here is a chance to buy a fun and competitive race car along with all you will need in the event of body/chassis damage or the opportunity to enjoy your racing whilst developing a Lotus 23b parts business or indeed build more of these Lee Noble based replicas.
