MGB V8 GT - BCV8 Class B - SOLD
This is now SOLD. Search for similar items.
Description:
Owned since 2019. Only two races since then, with a 1st and 2nd in class. Sadly now selling due to health problems resulting in me stopping motorsport after 23 years.
The car is ready to win its class again, or would make a great starting point for a Class C car.
Always stored in a fully insulated garage and transported in an enclosed trailer.
Belts: Not valid after 2026.
Extinguisher: Manufacture: April 2019 (not valid after April 2029), service done Feb 2022, next due Feb 2024.
Spec:
Built from the ground up from a 1977 GT 4cyl shell by the last owner, who bought the car in 1996 and also raced in BCV8.
3.5L Rover V8, build to standard spec, built as a race engine (either by Malcolm Beer or Russell Mcarthy, I'm unsure of this).
Quaiffe limited slip differential
T5 gearbox
Nylatron suspension bushes all round (newly fitted by me after last race), other than spring/rear axle mountings, which are poly.
One way adjustable Avo telescopic dampers (newly fitted by me after last race and set up over two test days). Front is a standard Moss kit. Rear is by Frontline Developments to get the damper angle the same as the axle travel (most kits put these at different angles).
Plumbed in gas extinguisher
Uprated starter motor and battery
Aim Solo 2 GPS lap timer
Wired in Motorsport UK transponder
Also available for an additional amount: 2011 Brian James Sprint Shuttle trailer, with tilt bed and tyre rack (now separate). I'm the second owner and it lived indoors for its first 7 years. This trailer is fully enclosed and you can fit chairs and tables in it at the track, but is light enough to be towed by a normal car. I'll either sell this with the car, or separately if the car's new owner doesn't require it.
