Mercedes Atego custom built race truck.

Reluctant sale of this 2006 Mercedes Atego 7,500Kg race truck with 2ton tail lift and twin awnings. 

The base vehicle has covered 746,560kms. It had replacementa engine which was fitted over winter last year. Runs well, pulls well even when loaded. No smoke at all. No air leaks. Starts first time. It has been run on “O” license so maintained to a high standard.

Bodywork is fair for age, few scrapes to the rear of the vehicle and some chips along the bottom of the belly lockers. Still looks very tidy in a paddock. Battery isolator and Anderson connector so batteries can be charged without tilting cab.Batteries were replaced at the start of the 2023 season as they were getting a bit weak.

The cab benefits from high roof which just gives more space and extra storage lockers. Single bunk that can lift up with storage under it. Eberspacher night heater. Cab is also hydraulic tilt. It has electric windows, electric sun roof, radio/CD with AUX. Tacho calibration is in date (analogue tacho). Cruise control and speed tronic adjustable limiter.

The back is empty with just Q rail to support all the awing poles up high. It has twin awnings. One is 6mtr and the other is 7mtr projection. Both have over cab extensions to give a total length 9m on both awnings. They are modular so over cab extensions don’t have to be used. Both have windows in the front wall and are in good condition. There is also custom-made storm bar to fit under the truck to hold the awning in strong winds. Either awning can go either side. 

Both sides of the truck have custom made lockers, all locker doors have hydraulic rams to hold them up. All made from aluminium. Covers over rear wheels lift up for service access.

The tail lift is a 2 ton Cantilever BAR, capable of lifting a car. Lock on loading ramps allow vehicle loading. We have notpersonally used this truck for transporting cars inside but would suit a small saloon/single seater. It has an adjustable height tow bar with 7 pin electrics. 

We have used this as a support truck to carry additional spares and for awning space. Unfortunately, we now need another vehicle that can take more race cars so have had to purchase a larger vehicle. 

It will come with 12months MOT which will be done once a deposit is paid.

Stickers will also be removed.
