Offered for sale is a fully rebuilt fast road/sprint 1700 BDA  engine,which has done 0 miles since a no expense spared rebuild by an ex-Rallytune technician. Extensive use of new parts - including:

Built using a BDG cam carrier & low mileage cylinder head,this engine was built for torque & reliability, & is absolutely mint & ready to use.

Requiring only carbs/inlet manifolds & appropriate clutch assembly, the engine comes with lightened flywheel, competition 4 branch exhaust manifold (mint), Lucas distributor, high pressure/high capacity oil pump (with oil cooler take off) & Escort 1600 Block type: Cast,691M – square caps.Bore size: 83.50 nominal.Standard deck height

Cylinder head gasket: Composite,single layer
Cylinder head: Low mileage,standard 1600 3 stud exhaust bda,refaced by 0.010”.
33cc combustion chambers.Fitted new guide liners.Formula Atlantic spec valves – Inlets 1.275”/Exhausts 1.080”.Isky spec race valve springs (double).Titan steel retainers.Double front oil drain.Special spun alloy rear block to head breather tube.Pressure tested.C/R 10.66/1
Cam carrier: BDG. Arrow cam followers.Standard bdg strengthening between 1st & 2nd bearing journals.Nos 1 & 2 exhaust journals fitted phosphor bronze bearings.
Camshafts: Newman billet BD14.Timed @ 110 degrees. 62/22 22/62 Fast road/sprint spec. Cam pulleys: Cosworth cast
Oil pump: High pressure,high capacity
Flywheel: Standard Mk1 Mexico (cast),lightened,inertia ring gear.
Sump: Escort 1600

The engine has been built by Rob Waddington (ex Rallytune) to provide maximum torque and reliability,and only requires suitable clutch assembly,carbs & inlet manifolds.Complete with as new large bore competition exhaust manifold.
