For sale is my MG Midget 1380 Spridget Modsport race car. I have owned this car since 2016 and have competed in Midget & Sprite Challenge Class A and CNC Heads Sports & Saloons series Class C and will probably be eligible for Modsports, I was told it was originally a 1976 shell.

It is not highly developed like most of the Class A Spridget cars but would still be top 5 overall going on this years results. Could probably be modified quite easily to lower class. Car is in lovely condition Brooklands Green colour scheme with fibreglass removable front end and boot lid with metal rear end. Had all new front H-Section done by Dom at Midland Classic Restorations in 2019.

Engine is 1380cc which has been dynoed with 105bhp at hubs but not a lot below 5500rpm and has proved very reliable,easily revving over 7500rpm.I fitted a Swiftune distributor which has been perfect. Exhaust is Maniflow LCB manifold and rear silencer

Gearbox is Rib Case which has just been overhauled by Iain Gorrie in Blackpool with new Peter May mainshaft and a  replacement straightcut gearset. Clutch is Formula 3 with concentric slave cylinder from Peter May

Rear axle has a locked diff, leaf springs and telescopic dampers.

Wheels are compomotive with Avon slicks and Minilite replica wheels with Yokahama cut slicks for wets.

Car is all up to date, belts good until 2026 fire extinguisher just been serviced by Demon Tweeks, just needs a transponder and you're good to go.

Reason for sale is I now race in Bernies V8s but have enjoyed this car over the years but you can't keep everything!
