This 2002 Gillet Vertigo is said to be the third of three chassis built by the Belgian manufacturer for competition in the Belcar Endurance Championship and later the FIA GT Championship, in which it helped the Belgian Racing Team earn the G2 class title in 2006, 2007, and 2008. The car reportedly received a refurbishment by Gillet founder Tony Gillet in 2019 that included a repaint in a yellow livery and overhauls of its Ellegi Motori-tuned 3.0-liter Alfa Romeo V6 and six-speed sequential transaxle. Featuring carbon-fiber monocoque construction, the car is equipped with electronic fuel injection, dry-sump lubrication, AP Racing ventilated disc brakes, pushrod front suspension, Öhlins adjustable coilovers, staggered-width 18” magnesium alloy wheels, a roll cage, a Sparco seat upholstered in red and black, and a Magneti Marelli digital dash.
