Description:

I am selling my race-ready car as family commitments mean I no longer have the time to race. The car has been raced this year, and every year since 2007. It has been highly reliable with many class wins and is maintained by a Ford specialist race preparer.

It is powered by a Cameron Gilmour Engine Services 2.0 OHC Pinto with twin 48 SP Weber carburettors, connected to a 4 speed Quaife Pro CR/SC gearbox. The shell is a Type 49 which is strengthened, gusseted and part tubbed with a World Cup cross member and a bolted in roll cage.

Suspension is AVO adjustable platform struts to the front and AVO double adjustable coil overs and single leaf slipper springs to the rear.

Braking is provided by 4 pot Willwood calipers at the front and 9” drums, (Capri 3L MK2 shoes) at the rear. It has a bias pedal box and a quick rack.

·       New Varley Red Top 40 battery installed March 2023

·       PD Extinguishers fire extinguisher system, installed  March 2022, service due March 2024

·       Sabelt six-point harness (in date until end 2024)

·       Cobra Suzuka Pro seat (not in date)

·       New tyres fitted May 2023, and have only been used for one race meeting

·       Comes with four brand new, unused Uniroyal Rainsport tyres (185x60x13) on brand new unused JBW Minilite style wheels (13x7 inch, -7 offset)

·       Woodford Lightweight LWT100 trailer available by separate negotiation

The car has been regularly raced in the SMRC Classics and Sports Saloons classification since 2007, however it would be suitable for many other series such as CSCC, HSCC, CTCRC, HRDC and more with minor alterations, depending on the series you choose.

Race parts are readily available at reasonable cost from many suppliers, resulting in affordable preparation and maintenance.
