Description:
We just bought this car from the famed Dick Barbour of Dick Barbour Racing who bought it for his son about three years ago. It has been in Dick’s collection since.
This is a purpose built tube frame race car that was well sorted and developed with the help of Fabcar/Dave Klem, some custom ERP parts for this car as well. This car has history in SCCA with log books. Finished second in the runoffs. Raced by IMSA racer Jack Lewis.
It has a 3.6 liter flat six with 50 mm pmo carbs, leak down four cylinders are 8% and two or 9%, Carbs were just rebuilt. A short original four speed 930 g box that was bought from Bob Akin years back, 930 rear bananas with 930 rear calipers. Full coil over suspension front and rear. Up front 13 inch rotors with big reds. Tilton peddle assembly. Fuel cell foam was inspected and is in perfect condition. One couldn’t come close to building this race car for the sale price, would be double this, at least a year to do the build. And would not be eligible to run in future vintage events It’s ready to hit the track at vintage events or just get seat time in at a low cost with a very realiable engine.
