Jaguar Mark 1

This Jaguar Mark 1 saloon is a race-winning FIA Appendix K car that has competed at the Le Mans Classic, Masters and Historic Racing Drivers Club (HRDC) events. It had previously been acquired from the Allen Lloyd collection, for whom it had been race-prepared by renowned marque specialists M&C Wilkinson Ltd. The car complies with the HRDC specification booklet and has a Historic Technical Passport (HTP) valid for the next 10 years.  
'TGW 273' completed the 2021 racing season with two 2nd-in-class finishes, and is currently looked after by restoration and race preparation specialists. The car is finished in Carmen Red, with '49' door emblems and decals from Motor Racing Legends, Ecurie Classic Racing, Advalorem and the Pall Mall Cup, plus a tribute to the UK's first Formula 1 World Champion, Mike Hawthorn.
It is powered by a 3.4-litre version of the robust XK six, which drives via the four-speed all-synchromesh gearbox via competition clutch. Built to racing specification by Sigma Engineering, the engine now fitted with a B-Type cylinder head; three 2" SU carburettors; and a stainless steel straight-through exhaust. Other notable features include an aluminium radiator with silicone hoses; and an Aeroquip fuel system with a new pump and tank.
The rear axle is a Sayer racing specification item, and the suspension has been uprated. Stopping power comes from FIA-compliant Jaguar Mark 9-specification front disc brakes, and the car rides on 15" wire-spoked wheels, shod with Dunlop Racing tyres. The shock absorbers, brake discs, brake pads, brake callipers and servo were all replaced in 2021.

It comes with various spares (wheels/tyres and minor items) and it's original twin carb head set up.
