BMW E46 M3 Track Car (Road Legal)

Road legal track car, owned by me for last 8 years, was category "c" when I purchased it, as it previously had a passenger side front wing accident and at the time (before I purchased the car) it was deemed too expensive to repair. Luckily the car was repaired as there was no damage to the chassis. Bodywork is OK, there is no sign of any rust on the chassis, paintwork is OK but needs a detail. Manual and non-sunroof car! I bought the car with no service history and it was converted by myself and a local BMW specialist mechanic, who has also serviced the car for me since then, regular oil and filter changes (no vanos issues what so ever), no head gasket isssues, no rear subframe issues.

Car has been poly-bushed all round, front bushes, rear subframe, gearbox mount, diff-mount. Suspension has been upgraded with fully adjustable Gaz Gold shocks and springs, with adjustable top mounts on the front. Original geometry was setup by West Suffolk Racing.

Safety devices motorsport approved, full bolt-in roll cage, so a very easy job to convert the car to a full-blown race car. A pair of Turn One by Oreca bucket seats have been fitted, drivers side is on runners and the passenger side is fix-mounted.

Schroff 6 point harness' on both seats (original fixing seatbelts removed), supersprint back box and no other power mods. Disc are genuine BMW and have only got a few hundred miles on them, the pads are Pagid RS29 all round and have not done many miles either Standard M3 brake calipers and braided hoses, running Castrol SRF racing fluid. AC Schnitzer quick shift installed for a nice short gear change, Momo race wheel with removable boss mount.

Currently on CSL copy wheels with nearly new Nankang Semi-slicks, I have the original 19" alloys on Michelin Pilot sports, but the alloys have the usual signs of lacquer peel and corrosion, tyres have a good amount of tread left.

This car was bought to be a track car and is very well accomplished on track, so please do not expect a garage queen, at present the car is SORN.
