Description:
An opportunity to buy an exciting racecar/track day car.
This car was built to compete in the GT cup and BRITCAR series. Unfortunately my father who was intending to compete lost his long battle with cancer.
the car really has been extensively modified, for example the engine is 2 inches lower in the chassis for an altered Center of gravity. As you can imagine the spec is enormously extensive so I will not be able to list it all. The car will require a new motec m800 ecu as we shared the ecu between my own race car and this one.
The car has a custom wiring harness designed and built by Dave Rowe of EPS motorsport. Allowing the loom to be removed at the bulkhead and engine removal is much more straightforward.
the car has the following spec
An ultima factory supplied Lightweight Body in black gel coat GRP
Dry Sump Chevrolet 350 ci rodeck all alloy v8
Billet crank shaft
Forged pistons and conrods
track 1 cnc port matched cylinder heads, machined by Kinsler in the USA to match the EFI system
Kinsler Dragonclaw Inlet and EFI system. Throttle sizes and Venturi lengths designed by Brad Cauzillo at Kinsler using their engine simulation systems, also a Kinsler progressive throttle linkage to has been fitted.
a Hewland DG300 transaxle with polished gear set supplied new from PDS racing, including a quaife LSD. This is a magnesium casing for extreme lightweight
Penske 3 way adjustable suspension from prodrive, double wishbone suspension with custom anti roll bars. Also a magnesium steering rack from a lola t70.
image forged wheels, 6 pot brakes front and rear. Custom repackable exhaust to meet noise regulations.
electronics are all motec.supplied by eps motorsport. CDL3 dash, PDM16, Motec programmable switchboard and all sensors etc. Camera system and data loggers also on board.
it has a carbon fibre seat custom made by Tillet Racing, schroth 6 point harness.
FIA lifeline extinguisher system
FIA approved ATI bag tank and custom fuel system.
the car has been extensively developed with a custom flat floor and various other aero touch's added to it, there is also a reverie dual plane adjustable rear spoiler and a rear diffuser which can be added with just a few bolts.
the car is pretty much ready to go minus the ecu. It weighs between 7-800kg and when used on our dyno made circa 650bhp. With huge flames and big smiles as dave Rowe can attest to.
it's a serious machine and an exciting opportunity to get out racing or as a ridiculously fast track day weapon? We never bothered to road register it as it was never intended for road use with ourselves. I'm sure Mr Marlow at ultima sports would be happy to help any potential buyer who wanted the car on the road.
the car has cost in excess of £100,000 to build and so many man hours in build time and development.
serious offers around £60,000 will be considered. Part exchanges considered .
