Ready to race, Formula Libre: historic formula car ARGO JM8, with NCK-Rover V8 4.5 litre, pure racing engine, revs up to 7.000 rpm, dry sump, Cosworth pistons, Carillo connecting rods, special racing block.

Heads rebuilt, Dellorto carburetor rebuilt , Hewland FG400 gearbox rebuilt (5 speed and reverse with a fine gearing for this engine), electrics complete new, new fire extinguisher system and belts

The FG400 gearbox alone is expensive as it was also used in Formula1 and F5000 and other top cars. Reworked gearboxes sometimes are more than 25.000,-.
The big advantage: Gearbox parts are still available from Hewland!
Also the engine is unproblematic, this is a reliable engine and the parts supply is also no problem!

The Argo is ready to drive, suspension adjusted, drives great, brakes and steers tremendously (what only a formula car with proper downforce can do), a V8 engine with the headers left and right just looks great, great V8 sound....

Last historic event "Ventilspiel 2022" was at the Red Bull Ring. Lap time 1:53, but without stress and no full throttle, only in 4th and 5th gear :-)

In 1980 the Argo raced in English Formula 3 and after the season it was converted to a V8 engine, similar to a Formula 5000. The car was then used very successfully in hillclimb racing, very well known car in the U.K.
The JM8 was the first ground effect car from Argo.

Many spare parts (complete second chassis/tub, (older) rain tires with rims, axle and brake parts, starting battery, original huge drawings/plans (DIN A0!) from Argo, rain cover etc...), an extra open exhaust pipe and an absorption muffler are included.

Inspection at any time is possible, location Hallein / near Salzburg in Austria.
