Description:
IR Timing Beacon Receiver - C16s
The C16s receiver is Cosworth's professional level 16 channel infrared lap timing receiver designed for flexible lap and split timing applications. The C16s receiver is fitted to the vehicle and detects a coded infrared signal from a Cosworth C16s end of lap beacon transmitter. This solution allows the user the flexibility to choose from 16 different end of lap beacon codes, avoiding conflicts with other teams when using their own beacon transmitter locations, plus provision for up to 16 split beacon codes to calculate accurate split times at multiple points around the track by using several C16s split beacons.
Lap Signal 2 is a secondary end of lap output signal which may be used to provide other on car ECUs or loggers with an end of lap signal. By default this output only triggers when using beacon transmitters set to code 0 (most common channel).
