A rare chance to own a one of a kind 2009 Holden Commodore Ex-WGA Supercar. The British Army Sports Cars Team’s flagship race car. 

The car was originally built back in 2009 for the WGA V8 Supercar Series in Bahrain and was one of two vehicles used in the Batelco Race Team No.#24. I have now owned the vehicle for 3 years and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!

Make no mistake, almost every part has been upgraded from it’s original WGA Spec to make it a highly competitive, fast and reliable endurance racer.

Since purchase the Holden was developed to compete in the 750MC Club Enduro Championship, arguably one of the most varied and competitive championships in Club Level motorsport, with multiple factory race cars and professional teams in the mix.

 

Being a non-factory race car the Holden competed in the Clubman Class championship taking the 2022 championship title in October after completing the full season with multiple podiums. It was the most loved car on the grid for daring to be different yet being competitive and undoubtedly being the best sounding car by far! 

 

A complete turn key and unique race car ready to compete in multiple championships for 2023 either in it’s current 300hp/ton spec or with higher power and slicks it would suit many high class endurance or sprint championships. The car comes with a very comprehensive spares package. You’ll need to a large van to fill! The car is also a highly marketable package being so unique to attract sponsors which has worked very well for us over the past 2 years. 

 

The car has never been crashed, it is perfectly straight. It has however been raced hard, with some minor rubbing and the bodywork shows it.

 

The cars specs are as follows;

 

New GM LS3 aluminium engine currently at 475bhp to meet class regs with a very conservative tune. But is 550 bhp capable as seen on the dyno during tuning sessions. Controlled by AEM Infinity ECU and twin AEM wideband sensors. 

Upgraded with Brian Crower dual valve springs with titanium retainers and upgraded rocker arm trunion bushes. BTR pushrods and GM 24hr race spec hydraulic lifters. All to deal with sustained high rpm. 

 

A Melling high pressure oil pump and internal sump baffles control the oilling. Piston ring gaps have been opened up to race engine specs and the head is clamped down with ARP head bolts. 

 

PWR radiator, and setrab oil coolers for engine and gearbox cooling. Temps are never an issue. 

 

Hooker 1 7/8” primary long tube headers into a Twin 3” stainless oval side exit exhaust. The full exhaust has been custom lagged (heat shielded) by Immico. 

 

The car has been converted to BMW 7 speed short ratio DCT Getrag sequential gearbox conversion. Controlled by HTG GCU and long shifter. SSP sump with twin Setrab external oil coolers. SSP internal oil filters. Shifts are completed within 80ms. 

 

AEM CD7 digital dash with data logging and lap timing. The ECU also data logs. The ECU, GCU, dash and twin wideband sensors are all connected together via a simple CAN data network. 

 

3.27 Kaaz LSD (156mph top end) with 3.45 LSD ZF diff (145mph top end) and 2.97 LSD ZF diff (175mph top end) as spares

 

Perfomance friction Endurance brakes front and rear. Best brakes I have ever used. They never give up! 

 

PFC ZR27 MONOBLOC 4 Piston front calipers and 380mm 2 piece floating discs with 31mm thick endurance pads

 

PFC ZR33 MONOBLOC 4 Piston rear calipers and 355mm 2 piece floating discs with 22mm thick endurance pads

 

New braided lines all round

 

AP peddle box and bias adjuster. There is no clutch peddle but the original AP clutch pedal is supplied. 

 

Pedders 2 way coilovers. 12kg springs all round. Original Bilstein suspension as spare. 

 

ATL 120L fuel cell. New in 2020 and in date. 

ATL dry brake fuelling, dump churn included. 

 

FIA spec roll cage. Fully seam welded chassis and subframes. Fibreglass bonnet, boot and rear doors. Car weighs 1580 min weight, more can be removed if required. V8 supercar style carbon rear wing. 

 

Windows replaced with 4mm Makrolon UV Clear AR8099 polycarbonate window kit including sliders. Square hole option with rear GT Scoops and flexible ducting (Supplied by ACW Motorsport Plastics Ltd)

 

Spherical joints on all suspension arms, with full camber, caster and toe adjustability. 

 

2 sets of 18x10 wheels (Apex and 2Forge) running 275/35/18 Nankang AR1 tyres for dry running and Michelin PS4 for wets. 

 

COBRA Suzuka Pro-fit GRP GT Width (just out of date) plus spare passenger seat. Schroth harness in date. 

 

New 2022 Lifeline zero 360 electronic fire extinguisher system. 

 

The car currently has its camouflage wrap which can be kept or removed. The car is painted white. 

 

Spares package is huge and includes;

 

Bodywork - doors, bonnet, boot, front bumper, headlights, headlight blanks. 

 

Suspension - multiple sets of arms, spherical bearings, subframes, hubs, wheel bearings, old coilovers.

 

Brakes - brand new discs, pads, bells, caliper brackets. 

 

Engine - radiator, oil coolers, ht leads, oil filters, spark plugs, looms, fuel pumps
