1968 5.7L SBC Corvette

Summary: Built to race in Bernies V8's Sports & GTs UK, also UK road legal / registered - MOT exempt. Huge specification with freshly built small block with a single dyno test run only plus minor road miles (Run in). Engine has forged internals, newly built into a seasoned block prepared by Mike Huddart Race Engines. New aluminium heads. New stainless big valves. New Lunati roller cam, springs, retainers etc. New Comp Cams Ultra Gold rockers. New Proform 850cfm carb, huge Childs & Albert con rods, new bearings, pushrods etc. With further dyno time will make in excess of 500hp. Engine was built to rev for fast corner exits and much lighter than big block equivalents so shorter braking zones. Built to give big block cars a run for thier money!

Specification: Fresh forged engine. 12:1 Compression Ratio. Proform 850cfm carb. Aluminium Cold Case radiator with twin fans and sealed ducting. Top of the range Mezziere starter motor. Billet March serpentine belt system. New Moog steering pump. VBP Narrowed heavy duty rear trailing arms. Borgeson power steering conversion. Sought after and rare Muncie Rock Crusher close ratio straight cut 4spd gearbox with heavy duty mid plate. Lakewood explosion proof clutch belhousing. Tilton triple disc 7" hydraulic clutch. Lightweight balanced Tilton flywheel. LSD rear differential with HD rear cover. All new Spicer HD universal joints with Dragvette HD Caps. Brand new Wilwood Calipers - 4 pot rear, 6 pot fronts on vented / drilled & grooved discs and new race pads. Timken bearings all round. Compbrake dual master cylinder brake system with dash mounted brake bias adjuster. Stainless steel headers & side pipes with internal baffles. Brand new MSD Pro Billet distributor and MSD Master Blaster Coil. MSD Carbon Plug Leads, MSD 6AL ignition module & MSD adjustable rev limiter. Innovate MTX-L wideband air / fuel meter. Brand new Magnafuel fuel pump with BG Filter. BG fuel pressure regulator. JAZ Fuel cell. This car has never raced in anger but has been built over a number of years and debugged, hence it is in extremely good ready to race condition - Change of direction forces sale. Currently tuned to 99 RON UK fuel but would be better suited to race fuel should you wish to compete.
