BMW E46 M3 track car
Hi, I am toying with the idea of selling my E46 M3 track car and moving onto a new project
This is not your average track car with a few cheap bits bolted onto it, it is 95% to being a competitive race car. It has taken me 8 years to get to this stage but am now thinking about going in a different direction.
It really only needs a fire extinguisher and a swirl pot setup to be ready to race, for endurance racing it would be wise to fit a diff cooler as well.
Last time I weighed the car with ¾ tank of fuel and no passenger seat it was 1230kg, should be easy to get under 1200kg with fiberglass bumpers, 5 speed box and a few other bits and pieces.
2002 BMW E46 M3 in carbon black, I do have the service history which is complete to when I bought it in 2014 but fairly irrelevant now the engine is basically new. This is a track car so the bodywork is by no means perfect but no rust in the rear arches and everything else is grp/carbon. Wings, bonnet, boot and front bumper all recently painted.
The car has had minimal use in the last 2 years, last trackday was Donington April 21 and in 2020 it only had 4 outings, 2 of which were evening sessions so minimal use since the engine and diff were built.
Suspension
Intrax 4 way suspension with black titan coating, Anti Roll Control and Spring rate adjusters. Setup at the factory for a 1200kg car. £7300

Engine
High compression race engine built by Butler motorsport, with approx. 30hrs use. Oil changed every 3-4 hours. The full rebuild was done in September 2018, top end build with cams and springs was done in May 2019.

If it doesn’t sell, I will be looking at breaking the car as I believe I will get more out of it.
I also have a large spares package, extra tyres, brake discs and pads and a beaver tail trailer by separate negotiation.
