Before the 1988 JTCC season, Trampio Toyo Tyres ordered a new RS500 Gr. A car from Andy Rouse. The car soon proved to be unreliable, mostly in the engine department. So, they ordered a new car from Eggenberger Motorsport. This car won the 1988 JTCC championship outright, inlcuding the Fuji 500 with Klaus Niedwiedz.

The car continued to race with Trampio in '89 and '90. After a short career with Paul Chan in Macau, the car went to a collector in Japan. The car was acquired by another collector from Singapore in approximately 2009. The car was then sent to the UK in 2014 until it was purchased by us in 2017. 

The car has not been run or driven since 1991. Everything on the car has not been changed since then. It is a hundred percent authentic down to the original radio, the seat and belts dated 1988. The original Eggenberger engine is still with the car; engine number is clearly visible. The car has just undergone a full restoration by Vink Motorsport. The body has been repainted in the Trampio design and colours. The car still has all of its original bodypanels except for the left door. All mechanical parts are fully overhauled. This car has been restored to its former glory, no expenses were spared and it is ready to compete! The car is offered with a large spare package that has been with the car since its beginning (most parts remain unused).
