Description:
Regrettably for sale is my high spec Clio 182 race car. I did three rounds of the Tricolore Trophy in 2016, four track days in 2017/18, and then a day at Donington in summer 2021. The car just doesn’t get used, will not get used, so it’s time for somebody else to enjoy it.
I’ve tried to be as comprehensive as possible with the description, but likely have missed some elements. Car is located in my garage at a NN6 (Northamptonshire) postcode for inspection.
Extremely capable little car is that is eligible for a number of series (e.g., Tin Tops; Tricolore Trophy) and ready to race.

General:
I’ve owned the car for c.10 years, I am the second owner, and I have the V5 if you wanted to attempt an MOT, although it may be a push! I have a mountain of receipts over the years that I’m definitely not going to add up.
Engine / exhaust / fuelling:
Pure Motorsport (PMS) / Jenvey 45mm ITBs, 330cc injectors, Catcam 421s, ARP bolts, gas flowed and rebuilt head, PMS billet flywheel, PMS lightweight pulleys and aircon delete, PMS power steering delete, PMS competition engine mount kit, mk2 golf alloy rad, mocal 16-row thermostatic oil cooler, alloy catch can, low temperature water thermostat.
PMS tubular exhaust manifold and de-cat race exhaust system. Low pressure tank pump with sender to 1.5l Torques stainless swirl pot. Bosch 3bar regulator and holder. Bosch 044 external fuel pump and fuel filter. All lines are PTFE stainless braided lines with AN- fittings.
The ITBs / cams / fuel system were all new in early 2017 when the engine was built and have completed 5 track days. The belts are due to be changed in early ’22.
Running a GEN90 ECU, and mapped by Chris at EFi, the above set up made a very respectable 212hp / 181 ft lbs.
Transmission:
JC5 130 with Quaife diff and shorter megane 5th gear. Rebuilt by Mark Mayfield in Feb 2017 with c.£500 of new bits. Again, only 5 track days since rebuild, no issues, and exclusively run on Redline MTL. PMS linkage kit. SACHs performance kit supplied by PMS.
Suspension / brakes:
AST 5100s with 650 fr / 550 r spring rates, from memory. PMS top mounts and strut brace. PMS spherical bearings front and rear, and front stiffening plates. Rear PMS anti roll bar. PMS bump steer adjustment kit.
Standard calipers with DS1.11 front pads, DS2500 rear, high carbon discs, and braided lines. No ABS
Wheels:
Fitted with a set of 172 alloys in black and Toyo R1Rs. I have three other sets of wheels (two of which are brand new) fitted with new direzzas; slicks; and, semi-slicks by separate negotiation.
Exterior:
This is not a tatty old race car! No material dents or scrapes with the paint work in excellent overall condition. Fibreglass bonnet and boot (has a crack in the exterior skin) with aerocatches. CMC composites splitter. Ricky Evans heated front screen. ACCW poly windows all-round / thermoformed rear. The fronts have sliders and are hard coated to prevent scratching when washing.
Interior / safety:
Fully stripped out and painted in white. Flocked dash with battery gauge in pod. Lightweight loom and Armtech hybrid battery isolator. PC680 battery. EPAS power steering conversion and OMP wheel. Plumbed-in extinguisher with associated cut offs / pulls for racing. Rain light. Cobra Evolution driver’s seat, unknown passenger, and TRS harnesses (not in date). Carbontec foot tray and rest. 6-point MSA compliant cage. AMB tranx260 (non-subscription!) transponder.
