Manufactured by Ferrari Corse Clienti department alongside Michelotto Automobili from 2006 to 2010, the Ferrari F430 GTC was the most advanced racing derivative of the F430. The GTC was designed to compete in the international GT2 class in events such as the FIA GT Championship, Europe’s Le Mans Series, and the American Le Mans Series. Several F430 GTCs, including this example, competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Due to FIA GT2 requirements on weight and engine displacement, Ferrari changed the cranks on their 4.3-litre V-8 that was fitted to the F430 to create this car. This brought the displacement down to 3,994.5 cubic centimetres, allowing the F430 GTC to compete in the 3.8- to 4.0-litre class, with a minimum weight of 1,100 kilograms. This revised V-8 produced 439 horsepower and increased the minimum weight of an F430 by 50 kilograms; the weight gain was offset by the F430 GTC’s overall reduced weight, ultimately resulting in an improved power-to-weight ratio.

In general, Ferrari’s F430 GTC proved to be a highly competitive car, winning its class championships in the American Le Mans Series and the FIA GT. GTCs scored class wins at the 2007, 2009, and 2010 12 Hours of Sebring and at the 2008 and 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans.

This GTC was delivered new in 2006 to its first owner, JMB Racing, based in Monaco. Between 2006 to 2011, this example would race 36 times in the GT2 class, and also compete at the 2008 edition of 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it achieved a strong 4th in class, and the 2009 24 Hours of Spa. Other notable results included 2nd in class at Interlagos in November 2007, 2nd at the International Open GT in Barcelona in October 2010, followed by a 3rd place in race one at the International GT Open Imola in May 2011.

This car received many of the GTC revisions introduced in 2009, such as air conditioning, suspension, engine brackets, traction control, electronic power steering, launch control, removable rear fender, and a revised radiator air intake. In addition to these upgrades, this F430 GTC is currently fitted with a Step 5 engine and exhaust. The car is offered with a spare engine, exhaust, and additional spare parts. Today, the car is finished in metallic blue with 24 Hours of Le Mans 2008 livery, underwent a component crack test in 2018 and comes with Ferrari Classiche certification.

Construite par le département Corse Clienti de Ferrari en parallèle avec Michelotto Automobili de 2006 à 2010, la Ferrari F430 GTC a été la version course la plus avancée de la F430. La GTC fut conçue pour courir dans la catégorie internationale GT2 dans des épreuves telles que le Championnat FIA GT, la Série Le Mans européenne et la Série Le Mans américaine. Plusieurs F430 GTC dont cet exemplaire ont disputé les 24 Heures du Mans.

En réponse aux préconisations du règlement de la catégorie FIA GT2 concernant le poids et la cylindrée, Ferrari changea le vilebrequin de son V8 de 4, 3 litres qui équipait la F430 pour créer cette voiture. Ce changement a réduit la cylindrée à 3 995 cm3 en permettant à la voiture de courir dans la catégorie 3,8 à 4 litres avec un poids minimal de 1 100 kg. Ce V8 révisé délivrait 439 ch en augmentant le poids d’une F430 de 50 kg, mais cet accroissement de masse compensé par la réduction du poids total de la F430 GTC offrait finalement un meilleur rapport puissance/poids.

D’une manière générale, la F430 GTC se révéla être une voiture très compétitive en remportant sa catégorie dans les Séries Le Mans américaine et en FIA GT. Les GTC signèrent des victoires de catégorie dans les 12 Heures de Sebring de 2007, 2009 et 2010 et aux 24 Heures du Mans 2009.

Cette GTC a été livrée neuve en 2006 à son premier propriétaire, JMB Racing, basée à Monaco. Entre 2006 et 2011, cet exemplaire aura disputé 36 épreuves en catégorie GT2 ainsi que l’édition 2008 des 24 Heures du Mans où elle obtint une belle quatrième place dans sa catégorie, et les 24 Heures de Spa 2009. Parmi d’autres résultats notables, citons une 2e place de catégorie à Interlagos en novembre 2007, une autre 2e place à l’International Open GT à Barcelone en octobre 2010, suivie par une 3e place dans la première manche de l’International GT Open d’Imola en mai 2011.

La voiture a bénéficié des évolutions effectuées sur la GTC en 2009 concernant l’air conditionné, la suspension, les supports moteur, le contrôle de motricité, la direction assistée électronique, l’assistance au démarrage, les ailes arrière amovibles et la retouche de la prise d’air du radiateur. Outre ces améliorations, cette F43O GTC est actuellement équipée d’un moteur et d’un échappement Step 5. Elle est proposée avec un moteur et un échappement de rechange et d’autres pièces. Peinte en bleu métallisé et portant la livrée 24 heures du Mans 2008, elle a bénéficié en 2018 d’un test de résistance des composants. Elle est accompagnée de la certification émise par Ferrari Classiche.
