From 2005 to 2008, the HU01 chassis participated continuously in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Winner of the ELMS championship in 2005, then scoring the most points in the 2006 championship, HU01 is a reference car of that time.

Highly eligible and very competitive

  • This LOLA B05/40 is one of the most recent prototypes eligible for Endurance Racing Legends by Peter Auto and Le Mans Classic, the maximum eligibility date being set at 2005 for prototypes. It is also eligible both in Europe and in the United States, in the Masters Endurance Legends series giving access to a large number of races across the Atlantic such as Sebring Classic, Monterrey, Road America and Daytona Classic.

  • Benefiting from a very favorable weight/power ratio, 750 kg for 550 horses, this LMP2 was thought and designed by optimizing an LMP2 regulation which was not restrictive enough to let the LMP1s have the upper hand. It can therefore compete for victory in Endurance Racing Legends and Le Mans Classic.

An ideal car for historic racing

  • The LOLA B05/40 is a resolutely modern prototype. Thanks to the extensive use of carbon and modern materials, this LOLA combines high performance with a remarkable level of reliability.

  • The AER P07 engine has established itself during this period as the reference engine in LMP2. The sequential gearbox with paddle shifters on the steering wheel brings a lot of performance and driving pleasure while protecting the transmission.

  • As it was designed for private teams, its conception was aimed at limiting operating costs. A real asset in historic races.

Fully restored

  • HU01 has been re-configured to 2005 configuration, in accordance with the Peter Auto regulations: 2005 Bodywork and 42mm restrictor.

  • The complete restoration of the car was carried out in England by Scottsport, a workshop specialised in competition cars from this period.

  • The engine was completely overhauled by Xtec Performance Engineering.

  • A file of photos and invoices documents the exhaustive work that has been done on the car sold ready to race with its valid certificates (crack-test and tank).
