Here for sale is my Jaguar E-Type Race car project. 

The idea behind the car was to build a tribute race car like the 70’s modsport cars of yesteryear. 

The car was in full working order and in use a few years ago but has been sat up in the garage for a few years and have come to the conclusion I’m never going to get round to bring it back to life. 

The body is a 66 series 2 2+2 model with a series 1 front end on it. The body has been put onto a Luego Viento chassis (a big Westfield) the chassis uses a Sierra cosworth rear end with lsd, twin a arm front end with hi spec 4 pot callipers. Gaz adjustable coilover suspension all round. The car handled incredibly well. 

The engine and gearbox have been removed from the car and are not part of the sale. The sale is for a rolling shell with all the parts just not the engine/gearbox set up. 

It has its forge motorsport built fuel tank and pumps/regulator in the boot. A compbrake bias pedal box. I have lots of spares with the car also. The rear panel is not great as the previous owner of the bodyshell decided to try and put Ferrari rear lights into it. The car will come with a brand new lower rear panel from moss to repair most of this. Along with original Etype rear lights. I do have a spare door and door skins also and lots of other spares that can all go with the car. 

All the hard work has been done. The tunnel will need finishing but aside from that you could put an engine and box in the car and go racing. It was a highly capable race car and handled very very well. 

I will have to look through my paperwork but I’m certain I have the chassis tag for the body with a birth certificate from Jaguar so potentially could get a logbook for the car. The chassis logbook is also available which the car could be run on. I never intended to put the car on the road but it’s not out of the question if someone wanted too. 

The body is all genuine Jaguar Etype steel. With the addition of Porsche 930 turbo wide arches. The body is good but not perfect. No major rust or dents etc. The bonnet isn’t the best either. But it was intended to be solely a race car not a concourse show car. 

If your after a genuine Etype this is not the car for you. It’s a recreation on a different chassis. With not much work you could have a fantastic race car build. 

The wheels are genuine compomotive cx501 3 piece split rims. Which just have toyo road tyres on for now as took the race slicks off. 

I ran the car with fibreglass low back seats which will come with the car if wanted. 

The car has been built to a good standard by competent fabricators not thrown together in a shed. 

It’s a project car and will need work to finish. But when done it will be a phenomenal race car at the fraction of the cost of a genuine Etype.
