Description:
Ford 289 engine, built and maintained by Knight Racing Services since new. Has only 3 hours of racing since complete rebuild using:
- Fresh original FoMoCo 289 block race prepared
- Brand new steel rotating assembly, crank, rods, pistons.
- New Knight Racing Crank damper
- New Oil pump, valves, valve springs, etc etc
- Has only 3 hours of racing since
Engine has been checked over & serviced by Peter Knight before sale and carbs balanced, valves adjusted, set up etc on dyno, ready to install.
Comes with original Shelby intake, Cobra style pan & valve covers. Has MSD billet distributor to suit most regulations.
Engine has orignal FoMoCo heads and 6 bolt block, correct size valves, bore & stroke are all in FIA spec and the engine is eligable to race in any series, Masters, Peter Auto, HSCC, Goodwood Revival etc.
The engine not the latest specification but is a good competitve unit with a nice spread of power and good drivability. It is for sale on behalf of a client who now has a new engine.
The engine represents good value as it has low hours and a significant amount of new parts. It has always been maintained regardless of expense.
Engine can be sealed by MSUK at a small additional cost.
