Dozens of new Hewland FTRL gear ratio pairs available, all purchased directly from Hewland.

Hewland FTRL gear pairs are a direct replacement for standard FTR ratios, requiring no other modifications to the gearbox (substitutions to 2nd gear may require an additional aluminium spacer in place of the integral hub, available seperately).

They were introduced for Formula 3 as an upgrade available to teams. However, they were subsequently banned in most F3 series on cost grounds and now remain a little-known upgrade to significantly reduce  the weight and rolling mass of your FTR cluster.

Maximum input torque is rated by Hewland to the same 325nm as standard gears, although we recomend 300nm maximum input torque to retain the same longevity.

As  well as paired sets, we also offer individual new pinion  gears and input gears.
