Description:

Ford Cortina 1200 Deluxe 1965, rare colour.

Documented one owner car and driven only 78tkm.

This car is in great original condition and according to the previous and only owner, it has only ever been driven in dry weather.

This car drives just as well as it looks!

Bodywork:

The bodywork is great, very straight with good gaps. From what I can see and have been informed by the previous owner, all panels are original and never had any kind of repairs..still original paint.

There is a slight dent on the passenger’s front wing near the indicator area, other than that nothing to mention apart from some very minor age related marks.

Engine bay:

Well what can I say, just have a look at the photos.

The engine bay is one of the best that I have seen, so clean and original.

Boot area:

Boot area is also very nice, original carpet is still in great condition and the original jack is still in its correct bag.

The only place that looks a bit untidy is the spare wheel well, it has been covered in rust protector (common in Finland) and seems to have had a small plate welded. I can’t understand why it would have had a plate there as the car is mint, also looking from underneath there’s no signs of any welding.

Interior:

Interior is very clean and undamaged, there’s some marking on the passenger’s side rear quarter panel.

At first I thought it had seat covers fitted, but when I carefully removed a small section to check the condition of the original seats I found out that they are actually the original seats and not covers. I have asked a few people if they have seen seats like this fitted new, most hadn’t (like me) but some said that they have seen them fitted new to export models of the same area. Most were destined for countries with cold climate, which Finland definitely has.

Roof lining is undamaged and in great clean condition, even the interior light is bright and works.

The dashboard is unmarked and so is the rubber flooring.

Underneath/chassis:

Again just look at the photos, the underneath is in great original condition.

The rust protection is very thin and peeling off in places, underneath is nice clean painted surface.
