This very rapid little car was built last year to compete in the Hillclimb and Sprint Association’s national Speed Championship in the Modified Production cars over 2 litres class.

 It has the ever popular 2 litre 16 valve Renault engine but in this case it has all forged steel internals and low compression pistons as part of the Engine Dynamics turbo conversion. It is chipped for driveability on the hills at 230 bhp but can safely go to 280bhp. The standard gearbox has had a recent rebuild and a Quaife LSD helps put the power down. New racing clutch fitted July 2019.

Although the car possesses the required MUK Passport (no scrutineer’s endorsements) it remains on the DVLA register as W868 V00 and is on a SORN. The V5 is in place. It is fitted with a track exhaust which is noise legal but would need a Catalytic converter in order to obtain an MOT.

At the time of writing (27.8.19) this fully sorted car in the hands of a first season, novice B licence holder, leads its class in the HSA Speed Championship and recently beat a strong class entry at the UK Hillclimb Championship at Gurston Down.

The car can be viewed and seen in action at Shelsley Walsh on 21st September and is available from the completion of the meeting.
